Waitemata District Health Board
With more than 580,000 people living in our district, Waitemata District Health Board (WDHB) has the largest - and second fastest growing population among all the district health boards in New Zealand.
We are also a teaching facility, with a well-established and highly-respected research programme. This will be built within the Health Campus, an exciting project to create an education and research network in the district. This will bring together universities, healthcare providers, local communities and other district health boards to support the training and development of health professionals
From our various sites, we offer a wide range of services including:

Waitemata DHB serves the North Shore, Rodney and West Auckland areas. It has the largest population amongst the 20 DHBs in NZ.
Our collaborative teams boast highly skilled, supportive doctors along with very competent technical and administrative team support. Due to our region's growing population and an increase in secondary services, we need SMOs for our various services.
